Breaking! Former ALGON Chairman Anyatonwu Resigns from PDP
Comrade Ike Anyatonwu, the former Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State have resigned membership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Comrade Ike Anyatonwu, the former Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State have resigned membership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

He made this known in a letter dated May 6, 2024, and addressed to the Ward Chairman Okporo Ahaba Ward 10 in the LGA.
In 2021, Comrade Anyatonwu was unanimously elected by his colleagues as the new Chairman, of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Abia State Chapter following the dissolution of the former ALGON Executive by the State Government led by former Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu.


Last week, Former presidential Aspirant of the PDP and former commissioner of Trade and Commerce Rt. Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe also resigned his membership of the party and days later, the executives of Item Ward C also tendered their resignation expressing their confidence and support in Hon. Ndukwe.
