The arrest of the suspects, many of whom have been prosecuted in court and remanded in custodial centres, led to the recovery of 15 AK-47s and other assault rifles, 25 pump action guns, and 35 other assorted firearms.
According to the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), during a press briefing on Thursday, at the State Headquarters, Enugu, further stated that 710 live ammunition of different calibres and 187 live cartridges were recovered. Also recovered are 17 motor vehicles, 11 tricycles and 8 motorcycles.
