Again, Terrorists Kidnap Catholic Priest
The Rector of Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary Ivianokpodi-Agenebode Etsako East LGA, Catholic Diocese of Auchi Edo State, Fr. Thomas Oyode was kidnapped after the terrorists invaded and attacked the Minor seminary.
The Rector of Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary Ivianokpodi-Agenebode Etsako East LGA, Catholic Diocese of Auchi Edo State, Fr. Thomas Oyode was kidnapped after the terrorists invaded and attacked the Minor seminary.
It was gathered that the Fulani terrorists invaded the seminary around 7 pm on the 27th of October 2024 with gunshots which caused the students to flee the premises.
Unfortunately, two students were captured but the Rector begged the Fulani terrorists to release the students and take him instead. They did.
Local hunters and vigilantes responded immediately and proceeded to search for Fr Thomas while soldiers from nearby barracks arrived an hour later.
However, the search was halted following the Bishop’s concern of aggravating the kidnappers which might endanger the life of the Reverend Father.
