Police Rescue 31 Kidnap Victims in Coordinated Operations
Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued 31 kidnap victims in two separate operations conducted in Edo and Taraba States.

According to a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the successful rescue missions were carried out on July 11 and 12, following swift intelligence response and tactical coordination.
In Edo State, 14 victims abducted along the Fugar-Agenebode Road in Etsako East Local Government Area were freed after a fierce gun battle between police officers and the kidnappers near Obe Hill. The criminals reportedly fled the scene, abandoning the victims.

The following day in Taraba State, police responded to a distress call on the Wukari highway, rescuing 17 passengers travelling from Enugu to Yola. The kidnappers reportedly fled upon sighting the approaching security team.
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the courage and professionalism of the officers involved, reaffirming the Force’s commitment to dismantling criminal syndicates and ensuring the safety of all Nigerians.
“These operations demonstrate our resolve to act swiftly and decisively against criminal elements threatening peace and security,” the IGP said.
The police have urged the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies by providing timely information to aid further operations.
