Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, has won her second Grammy Award in the Best African Music Performance category for her song “Love Me JeJe” at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 2, 2025.

This latest achievement follows her first Grammy win in 2023, where she won Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Wait for U,” a collaboration with Future and Drake.

Tems was also nominated for Best R&B Song for her track “Burning,” but the award went to SZA for her song “Saturn.”
In this year’s awards, Tems made history as the first Nigerian female artist nominated outside of the global categories as a leading act, and the first Nigerian solo artist nominated in the R&B category.
