Two suspects, 25-year-old Chime Valentine Chidiebere and 30-year-old Alior Jideofor Kenechukwu, have been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command serving at the 9th Mile Division for armed robbery.
It was gathered that the operatives who were acting on credible intelligence on the 6th of February 2025 arrested the suspects and recovered a Daylong motorcycle they had snatched from their victim, three locally fabricated guns with two live cartridges.
According to Daniel Ndukwe, the Public Relations Officer of the Command on Monday stated that a preliminary investigation revealed that on January 5, 2025, the suspects boarded a commercial motorcycle from Okwojo Ngwo to Amokwe Ngwo, both in Udi LGA.

“Along the way, they stopped, shot the rider in the left thigh, and fled with the motorcycle. However, the police operatives, leveraging intelligence, located and arrested the suspects, recovering the stolen motorcycle, firearms, and ammunition. The victim is currently recuperating from the gunshot injury.”
He revealed that there are ongoing actions to arrest the suspects’ accomplices who are still at large, and upon conclusion of investigations, they will be arraigned in court.
