Another Catholic Priest Kidnapped and Killed
A Catholic Priest, Fr Sylvester Okechukwu, who was kidnapped on 4th March 2025 at about 9.15 PM, was killed today, 5th March 2025.
A Catholic Priest, Fr Sylvester Okechukwu, who was kidnapped on 4th March 2025 at about 9.15 PM, was killed today, 5th March 2025.
Until he was murdered, Fr Sylvester was a Priest at St Mary’s Catholic Church Tachira, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to Fr Jacob Shanet, the Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, on Wednesday, the reason for his brutal murder is yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Fr Jacob urged the youths of the Takad community to remain calm and not take laws into their own hands. He also urged the people to join in prayers for the repose of the soul of Fr Sylvester.
