Vigilante Group Arrests Vandals Red-Handed Targeting Ikot Ekpene-Ugwuaji 330kV Line
Three men were apprehended while vandalizing the Ikot Ekpene-Ugwuaji 330kV Double Circuit Line of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) in Enugu State.
Three men were apprehended while vandalizing the Ikot Ekpene-Ugwuaji 330kV Double Circuit Line of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) in Enugu State.

The arrests took place on February 21, 2025, at around 11:00 am, thanks to the efforts of community vigilante operatives and local hunters.
The suspects were caught in the act of attempting to steal nuts, bolts, and angle iron that they had removed from the transmission towers. Their theft was successfully thwarted.


The vandals, along with the stolen materials, have been handed over to the police and have been charged in court accordingly.
The management of TCN expresses gratitude to the community for their vigilance and ongoing support in combating the vandalism of transmission infrastructure.
