Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have rescued seven kidnapped victims in the Riyom Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State.
Acting on intelligence that kidnappers were holding victims along the Jos-Ganawuri road on March 7, 2025, the troops engaged the kidnappers, who fled into the high grounds under the pressure of superior firepower.
Subsequently, the troops searched the area and rescued seven victims: Mr Sale Umar, Muhammadu Inusa, Abdullahi Abdulrasaq, Abdulsalam Muhammad, Muhammad Hamisu, Ibrahim Maradu, and Saidu Sani, all from Bauchi State.

Additionally, troops recovered a bag containing a blanket and clothing materials that had been abandoned by the criminals.
The rescued victims were subsequently debriefed to gather useful intelligence that could help with follow-up operations aimed at intercepting and neutralizing members of the kidnapping syndicate.
The victims were reunited with their families afterwards.
