Peter Obi, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has said that he is still in talks about a possible coalition as it involves ‘several talks’ and alliances to be fruitful.
Speaking after a closed-door meeting with a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, on Thursday, in Bauchi State, Obi said the most important thing is that the talks are bordered on how to make the son of a nobody become somebody in the country.
He said, “We are still talking. Nothing is concluded. The most important thing is that our talks are based on how to save Nigeria from further ruins.”
Appraising the present administration led by President Bola Tinubu, the former Anambra State Governor, said the Federal Government has done very well in keeping to its promise.

“Remember, during the campaign, President Tinubu said he would continue from where Former President Buhari stopped and looking at the indices, he has done greatly. Buhari left the dollar at about N400; now it’s about N1500. Rice was at N40,000 but now it’s over N100. Likewise beans. I think he has done great.”
Speaking, Bala Mohammed said that the essence of coming together is the belief in the service of the people.
“Irrespective of religion, irrespective of anything and as Nigerians and politicians, our aim is the service of the people and that is the meaning of coming together.”
