Rivers Sole Administrator Writes to Visit State Secretariat
Rivers State sole administrator Vice Admiral Rtd. Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas has informed civil servants in the State of plans to visit the State Secretariat on Monday, 24th March 2025.

In a letter signed by Dr George C. Nwaeke on Friday, 21st March 2025, to the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, advised the heads of department to inform their staff to be on duty and also make available their nominal roll for sighting.
Vice Admiral Rtd Ibas took over on Monday following the proclamation of a State of Emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu on the ongoing political crisis between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister.
The Governor, his deputy Ngozi Odu and the lawmakers were removed for six months which generated a lot of condemnation on the Presidency.
