Breaking! Joint Security Team Rescues Three Kidnapped Victims
Three kidnapped victims were rescued by a Joint Security Team during coordinated operations along the Onitsha/Owerri Express Road in Ozubulu, Anambra State, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 7:20 a.m.
Three kidnapped victims were rescued by a Joint Security Team during coordinated operations along the Onitsha/Owerri Express Road in Ozubulu, Anambra State, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 7:20 a.m.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, various security checkpoints in the state were alerted after the abduction was reported in Nkwelle-Ezunaka, located in Oyi Local Government Area, leading to a successful rescue and the potential arrest of the criminals.

The victims were taken to the hospital by the Joint Security Team due to the various injuries inflicted on them by their captors. They are currently receiving treatment and will be debriefed by the police once their condition stabilizes.
Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD, urged the operatives to intensify efforts to apprehend the criminals and assured the people of Anambra of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property. He emphasized that they will continue their ongoing efforts to prevent criminal activity in the region.
