After spending more than two months in detention at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre, music executive and former manager of the defunct P-Square duo, Jude Okoye, has finally been released.

The elder brother to singers Peter and Paul Okoye was embroiled in a legal tussle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which accused him of theft, criminal conversion, and laundering of over ₦1.38 billion.
His legal team has been locked in intense court sessions seeking his bail and defending him against the charges.

Jude’s release came quietly on Wednesday evening, marking the end of his prolonged stay in custody. He was welcomed home by his wife and children in an emotional, low-key reunion at their residence.
His younger brother, Paul Okoye also known as Rudeboy shared glimpses of the heartfelt moment on Instagram, confirming Jude’s return and showing him embracing his family after the ordeal.
In the caption, Paul wrote, “Jude is finally out after 2 months +… All their efforts to frustrate his bail have finally collapsed. Welcome home, brother. #judeengees. And happy birthday.”
