Suspected herdsmen unleashed terror along the Aba/Owerri Road in Ngor Okpala on Tuesday evening, killing a commercial driver and abducting at least 26 people in a coordinated attack.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. when the armed assailants reportedly ambushed vehicles travelling through the route. A Hilux vehicle driver was shot and killed on the spot, witnesses say.
Among the hijacked vehicles was a God is Good Motors bus, whose driver and twelve passengers were taken by the attackers, as explained by the narrator in the viral video.

Another vehicle belonging to Akwa Ibom Transport Company, conveying students of the University of Uyo back to school, was also intercepted, with multiple abductions reported.
Security forces have yet to issue an official statement on the attack, and the whereabouts of the kidnapped victims remain unknown as of press time.
