A heart-wrenching tragedy has struck a family in Bayelsa State as a grieving mother, Solomon Jennifer, took to social media to mourn the sudden and tragic loss of her teenage son, who was reportedly killed in an incident involving a police van.

In a deeply emotional post on Friday, Jennifer poured out her pain and confusion, questioning her faith and seeking answers from God after what she described as 14 years of sacrifice and perseverance as a single mother were shattered in an instant.
“God, the reason why it happened to me I am yet to know,” she wrote. “With a heavy heart, I am writing this. RIP son. 14 years of perseverance as a single mum, hardship, just to see you and your sister through, then today Bayelsa police van took your life. God, are you really in heaven?”

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at the time of reporting. However, the post has drawn widespread attention online, with many Nigerians calling for an immediate investigation into the role of the police in the young boy’s death.
Jennifer’s post continued with a message of enduring love: “Rest on son, till we meet again. Mummy loves you.”
Efforts to reach the Bayelsa State Police Command for comment were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
