PDP Changes Venue of BoT Meeting Following Invasion by Armed Police
The Peoples Democratic Party has announced a change of venue for the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting following the disruption by armed policemen at the National Headquarters in Wadata Plaza on Monday.

The meeting, which was scheduled to be held at 10 am, was hastily moved to the Yar’Adua Centre in the Central Business District.
In an official statement, the party’s management advised all BoT members to proceed to the new location.
Officers reportedly barred BoT members from entering the premises and forcefully removed staff from the building, further fueling speculation around internal tensions and possible factional power struggles ahead of the party’s highly anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
Earlier, the National Working Committee (NWC) had assured all Party members that the 100th NEC meeting will proceed as scheduled tomorrow, Monday, 30th June, 2025, at the NEC Hall of the Wadata Plaza, PDP National Secretariat, Abuja.
It stated that the 100th NEC meeting which was unanimously scheduled by NEC at its 99th meeting held on Tuesday, 27th May, 2025, among other things, will receive updates on the activities of the Zoning Committee and the National Convention Organising Committee.
