Troops Eliminate 8 Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorists in Borno State Operation
Troops of the Operation Hadin Kai, supported by members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and Hybrid Forces (HF), neutralized eight Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during a firefight in Manawaji, Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.
The encounter occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on June 30, 2025, when the joint team made contact with the terrorists during a fighting patrol. A fierce exchange of gunfire followed, resulting in the elimination of eight insurgents.
Several weapons and rounds of ammunition were recovered from both the dead and fleeing terrorists. According to military sources, no casualties were recorded among the troops or their allied forces.
Security authorities described the general situation in the area as “calm but fluid,” indicating that forces remain on high alert for any resurgence of threats.
