Tragic! Babcock University Graduate Found Dead

The Ogun State Police Command has opened an investigation into the sudden death of a 20-year-old recent graduate of Information Technology from Babcock University, Ilisan Remo.

The deceased, identified as Akawa Boluwatife Samuel, was brought to the Babcock University Teaching Hospital by his roommates on Wednesday, where he was confirmed dead by medical personnel on duty.

It was gathered that Boluwatife had reportedly complained of cold and difficulty in breathing on July 27. One of his roommates, Adili Leonard Chimdindu, informed police detectives that the deceased was advised to seek treatment at the university’s medical centre.

Chimdindu explained that they were on campus to complete their clearance processes ahead of graduation. He noted that Boluwatife appeared to be in good health the previous evening and had stayed up playing games on his laptop until around 11:00 p.m. He was later found unresponsive in the morning.

Police officers took photographs of the scene and recorded a statement from the deceased’s elder brother, Akawa Toluwanimi John.

The body has been deposited at the university morgue for preservation and autopsy. Authorities say investigations are ongoing to ascertain the exact cause of death.
