Tinubu’s Foreign Trips Are for Nigeria’s Development – Orji Kalu
The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu’s frequent international travels, describing them as crucial steps toward Nigeria’s economic and diplomatic advancement.
In a statement, Kalu said the President’s trips are not mere ceremonial outings but strategic engagements aimed at attracting investment and fostering stronger international partnerships for Nigeria and the African continent.
“Our dear President Bola Tinubu has done well on his international engagements for the benefit of Nigeria,” Kalu stated. “He cannot only be in Abuja to do the work. President Tinubu is on track with his travels, and I support it.”
He further urged the President to appoint ambassadors to various countries to maximise the benefits of the diplomatic and economic ties being forged through his foreign engagements.
“It’s also time the President appoints ambassadors so that the country can reap the full benefits of the President’s diplomatic and economic engagements in several countries,” Kalu added.
President Tinubu is currently in Brazil after a working visit to Japan where he joined other African leaders, international development partners and stakeholders at the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9).
