Tension at Transcorp Hilton as Anambra APC Guber Candidate Nicholas Ukachukwu Confronted Over Alleged N1bn Debt
Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State, was reportedly confronted at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja by a group of individuals claiming he owes them over ₦1 billion.

According to a viral video on Monday, the confrontation quickly escalated, drawing attention from hotel guests and staff.
The individuals, believed to be business associates or creditors, surrounded Ukachukwu and demanded immediate settlement of the alleged debt.
“Reject him, Anambra people”, ‘you are owing us and you want to run for governorship.

The situation was eventually brought under control by security personnel at the hotel, who intervened and escorted the politician to safety.
While neither Ukachukwu nor his campaign team has officially commented on the incident, sources close to the matter say the dispute stems from unresolved financial obligations tied to past business dealings.
