Court Jails Man 7 Years for Sexual Exploitation
A High Court sitting in Maiduguri, Borno State, has sentenced a 35-year-old man, Mohammed Makinta, to seven years’ imprisonment for human trafficking.

The conviction was delivered by Honourable Justice Aisha Ndume, who found Makinta guilty of procuring a person for sexual exploitation, an offence contrary to Section 16(1) of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.
In addition to the prison sentence, the court imposed a fine of ₦1,000,000 on the convict.
Makinta is to begin serving his sentence immediately.
