APGA Sets Date for Osun 2026 Governorship Primary
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced that its governorship primary for the 2026 Osun State election will take place this Sunday, marking a significant step in the party’s preparations for the forthcoming poll.
According to the party, accredited delegates from across Osun State are expected to participate as APGA advances its internal democratic processes.
Speaking at the party’s headquarters, the Acting State Chairman, Wole Adedoyin, reaffirmed APGA’s commitment to a transparent and credible exercise.
He disclosed that all logistical and procedural arrangements had been finalised, assuring that the primary would reflect the party’s long-standing values of justice, equity, and people-oriented leadership.
Adedoyin revealed that the screening committee had certified all eligible aspirants after weeks of consultations and engagements with delegates.
He added that robust security and monitoring frameworks had been put in place to ensure a peaceful and orderly exercise where delegates could freely make their choice without interference.
The party leadership appealed to aspirants and their supporters to maintain decorum throughout the process. It emphasised that the primary is an internal affair aimed at strengthening unity ahead of the general election, urging all participants to demonstrate sportsmanship as APGA works toward choosing its flagbearer.
The party encouraged members, stakeholders, and the media to observe the primary and support a process that reflects the aspirations of citizens for inclusive governance and sustainable development.
