Just-In: Two Lawmakers Die Within Minutes

Two serving members of the Kano State House of Assembly, have passed away within minutes of each other on Wednesday.

The deceased lawmakers are Hon. Aminu Sa’adu, also known as Hon. Aminu Saad Ungogo, who represented the Ungoggo/Ungogo Constituency, and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who represented the Kano Municipal Constituency.

According to reports, Hon. Aminu Sa’adu died first, with news of Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji’s death emerging shortly afterwards. The exact causes of their deaths have not yet been officially disclosed.

This was confirmed by the Spokesman to the Kano State Governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, through a post on social media.

In the post, he expressed grief using the Islamic phrase of condolence, “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihirrajiun,” before announcing the passing of Hon. Daneji minutes after that of his colleague.
