BREAKING: Native Doctor Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki na Oba Jailed 11 Months for Okeite Practice
A popular Anambra-based native doctor, Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki na Oba, has pleaded guilty to charges related to the practice of Okeite and has been sentenced to 11 months’ imprisonment.

The court, in its ruling, handed down a series of pronouncements alongside the jail term.
As part of the judgment, the native doctor will serve his 11-month sentence at the Awka Correctional Centre.
In addition, the court ordered the destruction of his Oba shrine, effectively shutting down the base of his spiritual operations.
The court further ruled that he must cease the practice of Okeite and will no longer administer such charms. Upon completion of his prison term, he is also required to make a public statement formally denouncing Okeite and related charm practices.
The court also directed that he will serve as an Ambassador for youth re-orientation to discourage young people from engaging in illicit spiritual practices and related activities.
