Abia Ministry of Basic Education Schedules CBT Exams for Second Batch of Teacher Recruitment

The Abia State Ministry of Basic Education has announced the schedule for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations for candidates in the second batch of its ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise.

According to the ministry, the examination will take place from the 17th to 21st of March 2026, and candidates are advised to check their dashboards to confirm their batch, time, and centre for the exercise.

It also advised applicants to print out their ADMIT card for the CBT and informed candidates with NCE that they will be examined on Mathematics, English Language, and General Paper, while candidates with degrees will be examined on English Language, Mathematics, and their area of specialisation. It further mentioned that candidates successful in the CBT will be interviewed from 24th to 28th March 2026.

Successful candidates must ensure they have the original copies of their birth certificate or age declaration, first school leaving certificate, original WAEC/NECO, NCE/HND/Degree certificate, TRCN certificate (where available), printout of the online application form, printout of the CBT result, a timestamped BVN printout (not older than two weeks from the date of the interview), and their NIN card or printout.
