Anambra Government Parades Nnewi Native Doctor “Mmou Mmili Afulu Anya”
The Anambra State Government has paraded a Nnewi-based native doctor, Mr John Paul Ezenagu, popularly known as “Mmou Mmili Afulu Anya,” for allegedly violating the state’s Homeland Security Law.

Ezenagu was reportedly taken to his mansion in Nnewi by security operatives for a thorough search and to provide explanations regarding the nature of his activities.
Speaking during the parade, the Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Community Security, Mr Ken Emeakayi, said the native doctor was accused of luring young men and women with promises of quick wealth.
According to him, Ezenagu allegedly instructed followers to bathe in a stream located behind his residence as part of rituals meant to make them rich.
Emeakayi stated that such activities contravene the state’s Homeland Security Law, adding that the suspect had previously been cautioned by authorities but allegedly continued the practice.
He noted that preliminary investigations had been carried out and that the suspect would be handed over to the police for further investigation.
Emeakayi added that Ezenagu would face prosecution if found culpable after the police conclude their investigation.
The Anambra State Government has repeatedly warned individuals and groups against engaging in activities that promote criminality or rituals promising instant wealth, stressing its commitment to maintaining security and social order in the state.
