Eid El-Fitr: A Call for Nation-Building and Collective Strength – Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo
By Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo (BOS)

As we mark the joyous and spiritually fulfilling celebration of Eid El-Fitr, I, Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo (BOS), extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and in the diaspora.
Eid El-Fitr is not just a celebration; it is a powerful reminder of faith, sacrifice, discipline, and unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah. The holy month of Ramadan has arrived, bringing lessons in patience, compassion, selflessness, and deep reflection. It has taught us to care for one another, to uplift the less privileged, and to renew our commitment to righteousness and peace.
At this critical time in our nation, as we navigate through economic challenges, security concerns, and social uncertainties, the spirit of Eid should strengthen our resolve as a people. Nigeria is a blessed nation, endowed with great potential, resilient citizens, and abundant resources. Though the journey may seem difficult, we must not lose hope.
I urge every Nigerian, irrespective of religion, tribe, or political affiliation, to remain steadfast and optimistic. Our strength lies in our unity, our diversity, and our collective determination to build a better nation. Let us use this season to promote peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding among ourselves.
To our Muslim brothers and sisters, may Allah accept your fasting, prayers, and sacrifices. May He shower His endless mercy upon you and your families. May this Eid bring you joy, prosperity, good health, and fulfilment in all your endeavours.
To all Nigerians, I say this with deep conviction: we must not give up on our country. Nigeria will rise again.
The challenges we face today are temporary, but the greatness that lies ahead is permanent. With faith in God and commitment to nation-building, we shall overcome every obstacle before us.
Let this Eid mark the beginning of renewed hope, renewed strength, and renewed patriotism. Together, we can rebuild, restore, and reposition Nigeria to become one of the world’s greatest nations.
I encourage our leaders at all levels to continue to act with sincerity, transparency, and dedication to the welfare of the people. And to the citizens, let us continue to play our part responsibly, upholding peace and lawfulness in all we do.
As we celebrate, let us remember the less privileged, extend love to our neighbours, and continue to pray for peace, unity, and progress in our dear country.
Indeed, Nigeria will be great again Insha Allah.
Once again, I wish you all a peaceful, joyful, and blessed Eid El-Fitr.
Eid Mubarak!
Signed:
