The operation, carried out between April 10 and 12, 2026, targeted identified criminal hideouts and black spots as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security.
The raids were conducted under the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and supervised by the Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the coordinated operation involved eleven area commanders and focused on dismantling criminal networks across the state.
Items recovered during the raids include 51 cutlasses, 15 knives, and 41 clubs, as well as significant quantities of suspected illicit drugs. These include 72 rubber solution containers, 69 sachets of Pregabalin, 259 Exol tablets, and a large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
