Court Convicts Woman for Fraudulent Entry of Persons
A High Court sitting in Maiduguri has convicted a 33-year-old woman, Salamatu Saidu, for the fraudulent entry of two persons into the country.

The judgment was delivered by Bukar M. Umar, who found the defendant guilty of facilitating the illegal movement of individuals aged 21 and 33 years.
The court held that the offence contravenes Section 26(2) of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015, which criminalizes acts related to human trafficking and unlawful entry of persons.
Following the conviction, the court reaffirmed its stance on enforcing laws against human trafficking and related offences, emphasizing the need to deter individuals involved in such illegal activities.
