Hon. Ike Okoroafor Wins APC Primaries for Arochukwu State Constituency
Honourable Prince Ike Okoroafor has won the Arochukwu State Constituency primaries for the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeating his opponent Hon. Bonny Austine Emeka.

Declaring the results, the INEC Collation officer for Arochukwu, Adaugo Okwudiri, stated on Wednesday that the total votes for Honourable Ike Okoroafor were 5,845, while Honourable Austin Emeka received 1,225 votes.
She further certified that the results she announced were the true reflection of the collated votes from eleven (11) wards in Arochukwu State Constituency.
In Ohaeke ward, Hon. Prince Ike Okoroafor received 191 votes, while Hon. Austin Emeka had 17 votes. In Ovukwu ward, Hon. Okoroafor secured 253 votes, with Hon. Emeka gaining 21 votes. In Ohafor ward 1, Hon. Okoroafor garnered 339 votes, and Hon. Emeka just 4 votes.
Hon. Okoroafor scored 87 votes in Ohafor Ward 2, while Hon. Emeka received 23 votes. In Arochukwu ward 1, Hon. Okoroafor polled 1,263 votes, compared to Hon. Emeka’s 104 votes. In Arochukwu ward 2, Hon. Okoroafor obtained 569 votes, with Hon. Emeka securing 72 votes.
In Ikwun Ihechiowa, Hon. Okoroafor received 96 votes, while Hon. Emeka had 204. In Eleoha Ihechiowa, Hon. Okoroafor scored 101 votes, and Hon. Emeka scored 30. In Ututu, Hon. Okoroafor received 2,157 votes, whereas Hon. Emeka garnered 647 votes. In Isu ward, Hon. Okoroafor was given 74 votes, and Hon. Emeka 39. In Arochukwu ward 3, Hon. Okoroafor scored 515 votes, and Hon. Emeka scored 67.
Speaking to journalists after the declaration of results, Hon. Okoroafor congratulated the party for providing a level playing field and ensuring a free and fair primary election.
“The process was good and transparent. This is the right step in the right direction.”
He expressed appreciation to his supporters for coming out in large numbers to vote for him, assuring that he will not let them down.
“I’m here because our people need help and I’m here to make sure they get the desired help,” he concluded.
