Court Grants Obi Leave to Serve Kenneth Okonkwo through Substituted Means

Published

on

A sitting in the Onitsha Judicial Division has granted Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress NDC, leave to serve court processes on actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo through substituted means.

The order paves the way for the N5 billion suit filed by Obi against Okonkwo to proceed after attempts to personally serve the defendant with the court processes proved unsuccessful.

By granting the application, the court authorised substituted service, a legal procedure that allows court documents to be served through an alternative method when personal service cannot be effected.
