Abia Government Reiterates Ban on Graduation Levy
The Abia State Government through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has reaffirmed its ban on graduation levies for classes other than pupils in Primary 6 and Senior Secondary School 3, the final classes of primary and secondary schools.

In a statement signed by DutyMarvellouss, the Public Relations Officer for the Ministry, it warned that no public or private school should charge a graduation fee from students who are not in the graduation class.
It instructed the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to begin monitoring and enforcing this law, warning that any private or public school found to be in violation will face sanctions as prescribed by law.
The statement also urged parents, guardians, proprietors, and other stakeholders to report any violations to 08142978338.
