Court Restrains Lizzy Anjorin From Publishing, Sharing Photos of Mkambala Family

A High Court of Lagos State has issued an interim order restraining Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Elizabeth Aishat Ibukun Anjorin Lawal, from publishing, posting, circulating, uploading or broadcasting the pictures of Master Rakeem Mkambala, the son of Priscilla Ojo Mkambala and Tanzanian musician Juma Mussa Mkambala.

The order was made on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, by Justice Yetunde Adesola Adesanya of the Lagos State High Court, sitting at Court No. 10, JIC Taylor, Igbosere, Lagos.

The suit, marked LD/ADR/6646/2026, was filed by Mrs Priscilla Ajoke Ojo Mkambala, Mr Juma Mussa Mkambala and Master Rakeem Mkambala against Elizabeth Aishat Ibukun Anjorin Lawal.

According to the order seen by Newsleverage, the applicants sought an interim injunction pursuant to Order 43 Rule 1, 3(2) of the High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019 and the inherent jurisdiction of the court.

The court, after considering the application and affidavit in support, granted the orders as prayed.

Specifically, the court restrained the respondent, either personally or through her agents, representatives, employees, officers or any person acting under her authority, from publishing, posting, circulating, uploading or broadcasting the third applicant’s pictures on specified social media platforms.

The platforms and accounts listed in the order include Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and TikTok, with several social media handles associated with the respondent and her businesses.

The court further ordered the respondent and persons acting under her authority to cease from broadcasting, publishing and posting editorials concerning the applicants on the listed social media platforms pending the hearing and determination of the substantive motion on notice.

The order is interim in nature and is stated to remain in force pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice in the suit.

The court also directed that the case file be returned to the Registry of the High Court of Lagos State for re-assignment to the appropriate division of the High Court.

The order was issued and sealed on September 2, 2026, by the Legal Registrar, Omokhudu-Umahoyin Onivenu.

Mrs Anjorin has made several videos of baby Rakeem, claiming that he was born with the help of a surrogate.
