Mourinho Hails Trent, Valverde After Real Madrid’s Champions League Win

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has praised Trent Alexander-Arnold and Federico Valverde for their performances in the club’s 2-1 UEFA Champions League victory over Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Speaking during his post-match interview, Mourinho said both players worked very well tactically against the Serie A side.
Goals from Kylian Mbappé and Valverde secured the victory for Mourinho’s side at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“Trent played very well and interpreted what he had to do from a tactical point of view. Both he and Valverde worked very well against the runs of Jones and Barella,” Mourinho said.
“He had some ball losses because it’s not the same to play with the field in front of you as it is to have part of the field in front and part behind.”
Real Madrid’s next match is against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Saturday.
