Ikeji-Aro 2026: Elekwa Applauds Umu-Aro, Says Unity Made Festival A Success

The Chairman of the Ikeji-Aro Central Planning Committee Barrister Onyemauche Elekwa applauded sons and daughters of Arochukwu Kingdom for their outstanding performance during and after the festival.

He stated this during a dinner party he organized at his country home in Ugwuavo, Arochukwu, on Saturday.

Speaking, he stated that during the preparation for the Ikeji-Aro, he felt that the Committee would not be able to achieve its dream of a successful celebration and got exasperated but some persons advised him to keep working hard and believe God to grant us success.

“Honestly, I was rattled as the day drew nearer. There was so much to be done with little funds, but we had to run around to make sure that the event was successful.”

He commended the support of Umu-Aro and reminded them that the annual celebration is not just a festival but an opportunity for communal sharing and cultural revival.

In his speech, the President General of Nzuko Aro Worldwide Mazi Nnadozie Udensi commended the committee for pulling off the celebration and reminded Umu-Aro the importance of service to the community.

Many other notable figures, including Mazi Dr Azubike Okoro, who was the Chairman of the Publicity Committee, stated that the preparation deprived them of rest but glad that the event was a success.

In a vote of thanks at the end of the dinner, Mazi Anicho Okoro, 1st vice president, Nzuko Arochukwu Worldwide, thanked the hosts, Mr and Mrs Elekwa for a good dinner, great environment and entertainment. He prayed that Heaven would replenish their purse.
