Bende Gets 12km Power Line, Mandate 27 Challenges Aguocha: “What Has He Secured for Ikwuano/Umuahia?”

WHILE BENDE SEES LIGHT, IKWUANO/UMUAHIA SEES HATE SPEECH

Breaking News: Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, Deputy Speaker, has secured approval from Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) for construction of a 12km double circuit power line from Alaocha through Ozuitem, Igbere, Alayi and Item, alongside installation of a 500kVA, 33kV injection substation in Bende Federal Constituency. Ndi Ikwuano/Umuahia read it and sighed. In Bende, they secure power lines. In Ikwuano/Umuahia, our Rep secures insults. While Benjamin Kalu is bringing light to his people, Obi Aguocha is telling his people to leave Abia and go back to Ebonyi. The contrast is shameful. The question is now loud: Would it be a taboo if Obi Aguocha replicates what Kalu just did?

WOULD IT BE TABOO IF OBI AGUOCHA ALSO SECURES POWER PROJECTS? NO, IT IS HIS JOB DESCRIPTION

Let us ask simply: Would it be a taboo if Obi Aguocha, Member, Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, also writes to NDPHC, TCN, and Ministry of Power to secure a 12km line from Oloko through Ariam to Oboro and a 500kVA injection substation in Umuahia North? Would heavens fall? No. That is exactly his job. That is what Section 4 of Constitution says a legislator should do: attract federal presence, lobby MDAs, facilitate projects. Benjamin Kalu did it without insulting anyone. He did not tell non-indigenes to leave Bende. He simply delivered. Aguocha has been in Green Chamber for over 3 years, what injection substation has he secured? What 12km line? What 33kV? Nothing to brag about, except audio Afugiri Health Centre and two trailers of rice that disappeared like spirit.

ASIDE NAME CALLING, AGUOCHA HAS DISAPPOINTED THE PEOPLE – THAT IS THE SOURCE OF THE ANGER

Let truth be told, objectively and without hate: Aside name calling, aside calling a 75-year-old elder a thief on Facebook Live, aside his aide Promise Nwokocha telling Ikechukwu Kelvin Okorie Ikukufied to go back to Ebonyi, Obi Aguocha has disappointed the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency. That disappointment is not manufactured by opposition. It is organic. It is from market women in Isi-Gate who have no light for 3 weeks. It is from youth in Ikwuano who have no skills hub. It is from farmers in Olokoro who have no transformer. People compare. They see what Benjamin Kalu is doing in Bende and they look at their own Rep and see nothing except Facebook Live munching and hate comments. That is why the angst is everywhere.

THE ANGST OF THE CITIZENRY IS JUSTIFIED – THINGS ARE HAPPENING ELSEWHERE AND NOTHING HERE

The expression of disappointment that things are happening in other constituencies and nothing to brag about in Ikwuano/Umuahia is the reason for the angst of the citizenry. This is not propaganda. This is observable. In Bende, 12km power line secured. In Ikwuano/Umuahia, 12km of abuse secured. People are not angry because they hate Aguocha. People are angry because they love development and development has refused to come. When citizens ask where is rice palliative, answer with rice list, not tribal slur. When they ask where is N450m health centre, answer with hospital photos, not “go back to Ebonyi.” The failure to answer is the fire that ignites Operation Reject Aguocha.

OPERATION REJECT AGUOCHA HAS BECOME A MANTRA – AND HE FORGETS INJURY TO ONE IS INJURY TO ALL

Today, from Umuahia South to Ikwuano, from Hausa community in Ubakala to Yoruba community in Isi-Gate to Ebonyi community in Ohiya, one mantra echoes: Operation Reject Aguocha. Why? Because he is asking non-indigenes to leave forgetting that injury to one is injury to all. When Promise Nwokocha told Ikechukwu Kelvin Okorie Ikukufied to leave Abia to his Ebonyi rather than question Hon Obi Aguocha, he did not just insult Ikuku-fied. He insulted every Hausa man who pays levy in Umuahia, every Yoruba woman who sells Ankara in Isi-Gate, every Ebonyi man who pushes wheelbarrow in Orie-Ugba. They all heard: if you question this Rep, you will be called stranger. So they have formed one voice: injury to one is injury to all, and we reject tribal representation.

WHY THE CALL FOR RT HON CHINEDUM ENYINNAYA ORJI IS NOW ORGANIC AND UNSTOPPABLE

Hence the widespread call for Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji to replace him in the Green Chamber come 2027. It is not being sponsored. It is organic. People remember Ikuku as Speaker who respected both indigenes and non-indigenes, who gave youth opportunities, who kept dignity of office. People say: If Benjamin Kalu can secure 12km line for Bende, Ikuku can secure 20km line for Ikwuano/Umuahia because he has capacity and contacts. People say: Ikuku will not tell us to go back to Ebonyi, he will tell Federal Government to bring light to Abia. That is why the call is growing every day. Ikwuano/Umuahia wants capacity, not clannishness.

CONCLUSION: NDI IKWUANO/UMUAHIA ARE OPENLY ASHAMED OF HIM

Let us conclude with bitter truth, persuasively and objectively: Ndi Ikwuano/Umuahia are openly ashamed of him. They are ashamed that when other constituencies break news of power projects, their own breaks news of hate posts pulled down after screenshots. They are ashamed that their Rep cannot replicate what Benjamin Kalu just did. They are ashamed that their Rep’s only legacy after over three years is munching, calling elders thieves, and telling non-indigenes to leave. In the market, they whisper it. In the churches, they say it. In WhatsApp groups, they type it: We are ashamed. And shame, in Igbo culture, is enough to withdraw mandate. Come 2027, they will cure shame with vote. Operation Reject Aguocha will be perfected with ballot for Ikuku.
