The Katsina State Government has banned the use of WhatsApp groups among teachers and civil servants in the State.

This was made known in a circular shared by the Katsina Zonal Education Quality Assurance to school principals stating that civil servants are not allowed to comment on government activities whether positive or negative.
The circular also stated that the abolishment became necessary due to various problems and insubordination between school authorities and staff.

The circular also directed the WhatsApp group admins to wipe the school WhatsApp immediately.
