Amotekun Arrests Man for Stealing Over 100 Motorcycles
A 35-year-old man identified as Wasiu Olamide has been arrested by operatives of Amotekun corps for stealing over 100 motorcycles in Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Ogun States.
A 35-year-old man identified as Wasiu Olamide has been arrested by operatives of Amotekun corps for stealing over 100 motorcycles in Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Ogun States.

Olamide was arrested after a series of complaints by victims who he robbed at gunpoint in Akure, Ondo State capital.
He was arrested with seven other suspects involved in various crimes.
In 2022, Operatives of Amotekun made arrests of many criminals invading and attacking the South West region. According to the Commander of Amotekun Corps in Ogun State, David Akinremi, the command deployed 400 operatives, twenty vehicles, and 40 motorcycles in the yuletide to tackle crime.
“We are also embarking on high visibility vehicular and motorcycle patrols of all the nooks and crannies of the state to deter would be criminal elements”, Akinremi said.
“We are also going to do joint patrol and show of force with other security services including the Police, So-Safe Corps, Vigilante Group, among others.”
