Your Days to Aso Villa is Over – Ben Bruce to 419 Businessmen

Former Senator who represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District from 2015 to 2019, Senator Ben Murray Bruce has stated that the days of sneaking into the Presidential Villa at night by fraudulent businessmen are over.

Speaking on Wednesday after President Bola Tinubu floated the naira and granted commercial banks the permission to trade at market determined prices, the businessman and Common Sense advocate disclosed that bogus and fraudulent business deals were over for businessmen.

“President Bola Tinubu is the first President of Nigeria with a Financial background. Let me tell our 419 businessmen some hard truths. Your days of going to the villa at night to get import duty exemptions, tax waivers, fraudulent judgement claims, and bogus business deals are over. Focus on legitimate business deals. Tinubu will not pick a winner like past Presidents. This time you will have to earn your position in the Nigerian Economy.”

On Wednesday, the Central Bank of Nigeria permitted commercial banks to trade forex at rates determined by the market which is in tandem with his promise to unify the exchange rate.
