Man Arrested for Alleged Gruesome Murder of Wife
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a 42-year-old man named Victor Okoh for the alleged gruesome murder of his 38-year-old wife, Victoria Okoh, at their residence in Oron.

According to reports, operatives from the Command swiftly responded to a distress call from concerned residents at approximately 5:20 a.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the mutilated body of the deceased lying outside the house she shared with her husband.
The spokesperson for the Command, DSP Timfon John, revealed that preliminary investigations indicated the suspect had allegedly attacked his wife with a machete due to accusations of infidelity.

Further reports stated that the suspect was found hiding in the ceiling of the house in an attempt to evade arrest. The operatives tactically secured the building, forced entry, and successfully apprehended him.
The machete believed to have been used in the crime was recovered by the police, and photographs of the scene were taken for investigative purposes.
The body has been deposited at the General Hospital Morgue for an autopsy, while the suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.
