The ex-boyfriend, Zubairu Dalhatu Malamai, of the new wife of custom boss, Zainab Abdullahi have sued her over ‘breach of promise to marry’ while demanding N9.81,270,45 payment.

Recall that the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Col. Hameed Ali (Rtd) took a new bride Hajiya Zainab Abdullahi.
The wedding ceremony, devoid of fanfare because of the COVID-19 pandemic, was held over the weekend. Hameed Ali’s first wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jummai Ali died in Abuja on October 29th, 2018 at the age of 53 years old.
In the letter by the lawyer, Zubairu stated how the money was spent on her and for what purposes and warned that if not paid legal actions will be taken to recover the said fund.
Zubairu further stated that she collected all those money deceitfully while promising to marry him but ended up leaving him and so, he’s demanding for the payment of all spent.
This is the first of its kind and if taken to court, will serve as a deterrent to other people who promise marriage and suddenly abandons the person.
Both male and female.
