Nigeria Police Shuts Down IRT and STS
The Nigeria Police Force has shut down the bases of the Intelligence Response Squad and Special Tactical Squad over petition received on their operation.
The Nigeria Police Force has shut down the bases of the Intelligence Response Squad and Special Tactical Squad over petition received on their operation.

This was made known in a statement made available to the press ordering the officers to submit all firearms in their possession to central armoury.

The suspects in their custody were also transferred to the State command’s Special Anti-Robbery Squad while cases already charged to court but investigation not concluded be moved to State Criminal investigation Departments.

Commissioners of Police were also directed to monitor strict compliance of the directive.
