The Kano State Hisbah Board has written to the manager of Cool FM to warn the station against tagging Friday black as the Muslims considers Fridays holy.

This was made known in a letter dated 26th November and signed by the Principal Executive Officer, Abubakar Mohammed Alli after Cool FM announced some major Black Friday sales happening in the city.

In the letter, Hisbah stated that a major part of Kano State is Muslim and so advised the station to stop calling Friday black and also warned that the Hisbah corps will be around for surveillance and to make sure no immoral act is done amidst upholding the peace and harmony in the State.
