Tragic! 70-year-old HIV-positive Man Rape 5-year-old

A 70-year-old HIV-positive man identified as Nicholas Akeh has been arrested for raping a five-year-old girl in Benue State.

In a confessional to the police, Akeh revealed that he lured the girl into his home and gave her garri to drink then had his way with her.

According to activist, Ukan Kurugh, the girl’s parents came looking for her in the neighbourhood but the man hid her in his bathroom.

But the little girl opened up to her parents when they noticed that she was bleeding and asked some questions.

Akeh confessed to the police that he has been living with HIV for 20 years and since his wife left him, his only option was to use little girls to get his sexual satisfaction.

Kuru said, “Mr Akeh Nicodemus lured the 5-year-old girl into his house in Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue state and raped her.”

Ukan Kurugh revealed that the mother of the victim dropped the case and wanted the man released from the police after her blond husband told her to do so to avoid the elders of the village banning them of laying curses on them.

The woman disclosed that the husband is suing for peace and out of the police net settlement.

The man has been detained while further investigation is ongoing and will be charged to court within the week.
