The students of Imo State University have demanded justice for the killing of a first-year student by soldiers in Owerri.

It was gathered that the student, Divine Nwaneri was killed by soldiers who keeps guard at the government house front gate, Owerri, on Sunday.

The soldiers opened fire on a Lexus Jeep around 10 pm, unfortunately, the Soil Science and Biotechnology undergraduate was hit.

The 24-year-old indigene of Umukam, Obollo in Isiala Mbano was confirmed dead at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri.
Divine was not the only occupant of the car, the male driver survived.
