The Governor of Ondo State Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has stated that the decision of Southern Governors banning open grazing will not change.

Akeredolu made it clear that clinging to an anachronistic model animal husbandry that is injurious to both herders and farmers is arrogant and wicked.

He further responded that comparing the loss of lives, the hardship of host communities which is caused by herders to buying and selling of spare parts is not only strange but betrays a terrible mindset.

He also advised the AGF to approach the court to challenge the laws of respective States banning open grazing.
