Birnin-Yawuri: Troop Rescue More Abductees, Kill Bandit

Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued more abductees of the Federal Government College Birnin Yawuri in Kebbi State.

According to the Director Army Public Relations, Onyema Ugochukwu, the troops under the auspices of Operation Hadarin Daji and supported by the Nigerian Air Force rescued the students on Saturday in Makuku.

One bandit was killed while nine motorcycles and four handsets were recovered from the fleeing bandits.

Meanwhile, more troops have been deployed to the forest so as to catch the fleeing bandits.

Recall that two teachers and five students were earlier on Friday 18 June 2021 rescued by the gallant troops in a coordinated fire fight with the kidnappers.
