The Former First Lady of Nigeria, Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi has died at the age of 97.
The Former First Lady of Nigeria, Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi has died at the age of 97.

The late First Lady was the wife of Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi died on Monday, August 23.

Major General Aguiyi-Ironsi was the supreme commander of the National Military Government for six months before being overthrown and assassinated in the 1966 Nigerian counter-coup.
