As Nigerians complain about the high cost of foodstuff in the country, a list of food items in the 1980s has hit the internet.

The list contains an N100 grocery shopping could but in those days as against what the same amount could buy presently.
A paint of rice which was N3.60 now goes for N2500 while yam, meat has taken the centre stage of high cost commodities.

Many Nigerians have complained about the high rate of foodstuff but the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari seems not to hear the complaints and cries of the masses with the continued closure of borders in the country and the consideration of hike in fuel, electricity and others.

Meanwhile, N100 cannot buy anything except the popular snack ‘gala.’
