Dr Chike Akunyili, the husband of the late Dora Akunyili, the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control of Nigeria from 2001 to 2008 has been laid to rest.
Dr Akunyili was killed by unknown gunmen on 29th October 2021 while returning to his base in Enugu State after receiving a post humour award in honour of his late wife Dora.
The remains of Late Dr Chike Akunyili was surrounded by his children, friends, priests and the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi.
